- Reading these posts only reinforces my belief that there is no resolution to the culture wars. The only thing left to do is disolve the US and split into different enities (similar to the European Union). I, for one, do not want to live in a country run by the regressive tea party.

- Instead of increasing income taxes on the upper income payers, we should lift the ceiling on Social Security and Medicare to fully fund those programs. That would do more for the economy than giving the government spenders more to waste.
